remember those days


This picture reminds me of the bcg injection that everybody needs to take when they went to primary one.The picture shows how harrowing an experience this can be for some.
Mine was actually a simple affair. I was talking to some friends while queing for the injection. Suddenly the nurse pulled me and gave an injection and its all over.
Six years later I was given a booster. We were more aware this time so the doctor decided to give a lecture first to persuade us to have the injection.
He showed a box of chalks and said that if you don't take the injection you can easily get tuberculosis. And when you get tuberculosis the medicine taste like these chalks. So what is it gonna be the injection or the chalks for the rest of your life?
What else can you choose? A little pain now for a less risky future.
